The 4Cs — Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat — are the universal language used to describe a diamond’s quality. Understanding them helps you spend wisely and choose a stone you will love forever.<\/p>\n

Cut<\/h2>\n

Cut is the most important of the 4Cs because it controls how a diamond handles light. A well-cut diamond reflects light back to your eye as bright, lively sparkle. Cut refers to the proportions, symmetry and polish of the stone — not its shape. If you prioritise one C, make it this one.<\/p>\n

Colour<\/h2>\n

Diamond colour is graded from D (completely colourless) down through the alphabet as faint warmth appears. In the near-colourless range the difference is very subtle to the naked eye, so a slightly lower colour grade can offer excellent value while still looking beautifully white, especially once set.<\/p>\n

Clarity<\/h2>\n

Clarity describes the tiny natural characteristics, called inclusions, that form inside a diamond. Grades run from Flawless to Included. Many inclusions are microscopic and invisible without magnification — an “eye-clean” diamond looks perfect to you while costing less than a flawless stone.<\/p>\n

Carat<\/h2>\n

Carat is the measure of a diamond’s weight, not its size. Two diamonds of equal carat can look different depending on their cut and shape. Because lab-grown diamonds offer great value, many of our customers choose a higher carat weight than they expected within the same budget.<\/p>\n
